I think cash wise the most I had on me outside was £400 and I'm about to go cash a £1000 cheque. Win
and i lost it.
but then i found it.
and I cashed a cheque of £1204 quite recently.
£8,300 of my own in a rucksack taken on a five hour train journey. Nerve wracking times.
I want a £1000 cheque.

Any amount of money I hold now just feels tame.
Hundreds of thousands of US dollars once. Great fun.
But it's fucked me up terribly - I have no conception of the value of money any more.
And the worst thing is, it's been years since I was there and I can't remember the code to the door. Damnit.

This was when the bank mistakenly cancelled and destroyed my new card a couple of days before I was due to go away for the weekend. Because of their mistake, I couldn’t collect my pre-paid train tickets and had to purchase new ones. I got the money back (I treated myself to a first-class meal-ticket ;-)), but it meant that I had to carry the cash around for a week or so.
