Not a thread about the cartoon. (Sorry geeks).
It's about the mac mouse. (Hi geeks).
OMG MIGHTY MOUSE. How I despair at your often malfunctioning trackball.
I just realised this thread is the lamest, geekiest, most pointless thread of the day, and maybe ever, so let's do something in an attempt to head off abject failure at the Abandon Reply pass.
1) I read today that it will take FOUR YEARS for the world to end. So everyone thinks they're safe now, but the time-space cataclysm has now been placed by mysterious experts as occuring four years hence. So basically we really can't unclench until then. For me, it's a new kind of existential paranoia to rival cold-war nuclear fear back in the day. We are living in science fiction. How does that make YOU feel to think that the slow end of the world has been set in motion?
2) I am working on a band called The Virgins at the moment. They're on tour in the UK right now. I'm not jagging them, it's just been on my mind a lot obvs as their "web guy", but wow, they're looking like they might blow up massively, everyone who's working on them is getting massively positive vibes. The singer is called Donald. He's like the NYC indie-rock Robert De Niro, all tattoos and tightly rolled up shirt sleeves. I wonder if they'll be massively famous? It's funny comparing what they're going through the the Alex James biography I'm reading. The early stages of fame are interesting. Do YOU think they're gonna be mega-famous? http://www.myspace.com/thevirginsnyc
3) I found out today that I get to interview my two current favorite musicians in the next few weeks - Bradford Cox and Kevin Barnes. I haven't done face-to-face interviews since... fuck. Enon, before that, Libertines, before that... 80's Matchbox B-Line Disaster... before that... British Sea Power, then like fucking Elastica, Pop Will Eat Itself and the Boo Radleys. That's six EVER. I like doing MSN interviews now because you get the to-and-fro of conversation, but you don't have to type it up from some fuzzy-ass recording and sweat it over how you didn't follow up right. What would YOUR question to the two luminaries I'm interviewing be?
4) This has turned into a blog. Sorry. What would YOUR blog entry for the day be?
