just been reading this interesting blog post http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2008/09/how-often-shoul.html and it seems quite in line with what i've been thinking (and seeing in the numbers over the past week or two) that the volumes of content on the web and on DiS in particular, are certainly capable of being too plentiful.
my personal feeling is that if there's 1 album review, 1 column/feature, 3-5 news stories a day, it's a manageable amount to digest. sometimes dis does and has run 20 things a day but there aren't many occasions where such a volume of content gets read in the kindsa numbers than if we ran 5 bits in a day.
how much is too much for you? would it make sense if there was a board vote top 5 threads to read today chart? something like that might make things a bit more digestible, mebbe?
