Hello intellectual types...and the type that pretend, like me!

Recently I have felt the need to find out more about life, the world and disasters.
For some reason I've been really interested in war (what is it good for?) and have been watching a History Channel documentary called "The Last Days Of WWII". 'tis good like.

I know there was a big music documentary thread in the music section a little while ago but I wanted to open this up to all kinds of documentaries there are in the world.
What are your favourites?
What kind do you like?
Is there any I really should watch?
