HELLO!

I quite fancy upgrading from my Mega Drive. I've a Wii on my wedding list so won't be buying that right now... but I quite like the look of some Xbox games I have seen/heard about. Plus you van get GTA on it right? That's pretty much the only next-gen game I have played at any length, on my brothers' PlayStation 2. Or 3. Whatever one they have.

SO: is an Xbox a worthy investment? Is the DVD function any cop (I need a new DVD player too)? What model should I get, if I should get one at all? There seems to be a fair few...

All help appreciated as, really, I am a thicko who just wants to play pretty games; I am no so interested in linking up with gamers on the other side of the world!
