i think it's tesco... yes?
According to this weeks Grocer33, their sample basket was £55.87 in Sainsbury's and £54.81 in Tesco.
was the same price in both supermarkets last week.
have gone up by 47% since January! apparently.
lucky i gave up eating them although fresh ones are tasty.
I didn't realise it was that much. Grrr!
Sainsbury's has more deals than Tesco - particularly since the economic decline. However, item per item Tesco is probably cheaper.
If you are willing to be flexible and go for deals I thinks Sainsbury's bill could come out cheaper.
do I shop at Sainsbury's or Tesco tonight? money is an issue as not too flush right now.
it's never that dramatic.
I vote Sainsbury's.
It's a myth that Tesco is a huge amount cheaper, they're pretty much the same. Sainsbury's does traditionally have better quality though. Word.
like (lol) wheat-free cereal and the like. Waitrose wins on that, it's much cheaper.
the queues are well short in Holloway 'cause we're a minority too!
how friendly the staff are? A couple of hundred yeards up the road in Morrisons you're lucky to get a grunt out of the checkout staff. At Waitrose it's all "Hello Sir, thats nine pounds eighty please, have a good evening, would you like a blow job?". I highly recommend it.
except the girl who's really shit at slicing meat. She's friendly as well though actually.
She's on my list.
Or maybe that's a learning. Don't try and be working class in our posh middle-class enclave.
supermarket is Waitrose and I dispute that anything is cheaper although everything is better.
Actually, what the fuck do I know about wheat-free goods - I'll let you have this one nice_squirrel.
Their whole foods aisle is brilliant, spaghetti made from pulses and really good quality soup for 70p, which you could quite easily serve as some kind of sauce with meat.
I think. Generally. Usually I tend to go to wherever's closest/still open.
Shopping and then some red wine. What a Friday.
FANX EVERYONE AND SPECIAL MENTION TO BAMOS AND NICE SQUIRREL FOR THE STATS...
since I stopped shopping there a year ago ( I miss you so much tesco, I miss you) tesco is cheaper or the same price but much better quality. I used to go to a tesco Massive or whatever they're called which also sold tvs and so on, but the prices may vary by location.
sainsburys is much cheaper then it used to be
and the new store in Highbury is like well disappointing and they ripped me off on the price of prawns. BURN.
avoid tesco, their own brand is dirge
Sainsburys own brand is often as good if not at times better then the branded products, the same could be said about Asda own brand cept less likely to actually be better.
Tescos own brand is often unedible, I hate their own brand with passion and is the sole reasson i dont shop there + its not much cheaper then sainsburys at all, which suprisingly have better deals then tescos continious off loading of walkers and pro-biotic drinks... sainsburys will offer you lots of meat and sweets free :)
HAVE BEEN TRYING TO store rations, i havve thus been looking at the basics,,,,for me sainsburies comes out cheaper than tescos......acros the board tesco might be cheaper, but as someone else said /\ sainsburies tend to have better bargains (and the food is better. (fruit and veg can be quite pricier though) TESCO ASDA AND ALDI HAVE INTORODUCED MORE BARGAIN DEALS ON FRUIT AND VEG recently
