Ok so it's now just over a week til I move out to France - Rennes to be exact.

Ferrying out from Portsmouth with my parents, so transport's sorted, and I've finally been offered a place in Halls so accommodation is also sorted, though the information I have about it is very limited.

I'm trying to get everything sorted [last minute, as ever] and any advice would be welcome for people who've moved abroad before.

What do I need to remember? Am getting a pay as you go phone here that hopefully won't be locked to any network so can get a French sim card to put in it. Have Skype, just need a headset [any recommendations?] Have also remembered will need travel adaptors, and will need to get some money changed before I go.

Have opened a bank account with free card use abroad, and am in the process of ensuring my internet banking is set up on all my accounts.

I think that's everything... But any advice on phones/headsets/webcams etc would be welcome...
