and had quite a nice time!
were you harassed by....portsmouthians?
but I had fun!
I went to the D-Day museum, up the Spinaker Tower (tallest building on the South Coast, great views as it was lovely and sunny), ate Krispy Kremes, lunch in Loch Fyne, purchased 2 pairs of 501s (1 x jet black, 1 x faded blue), a burgundy roundneck lambswool sweater, a light grey v-neck lambswool sweater, some charcoal grey plaid shorts from Vans and err....yeah, well that was it.
Anyway, my verdict? Portsmouth: It's not all bad!
My spelling game is 'wack' today.
you made it back ok?
My family's there and I never dare to go there
are you ok? :(
It's not that bad
i guess it's what you think that counts.
the university campus appears to be concentrated largely in Southsea which as you well know is a little enclave of relative sophistication and gentility.
with Paulsgrove just up the road!
in Portsmouth. Southsea, especially Albert Road and the other one that the One Eyed Dog is on are pretty nice areas.
i went to school in portsmouth for 11 years...it was a joy.
I did this:
which I thought was a really nice development.
Those places all look the same.
as far as those leisure destination/outlet village set-ups go I thought they'd done well with it. Obviously, the seafront location is the USP. It's certainly a million times better than the living hell that is West Quay in Southampton.
man cannot live on band merch alone and all that.
i was there only a few weeks ago...</3
old Portsmouth is lovely to walk through during the summer and gunwarf is quite nice.
The best thing about Portsmouth is when they close off albert road and have a big ol' street party
I am about to start my final year at Portsmouth University.
Some of the uni buildings are a bit bleak and boring but some are really nice.
Old Portsmouth is lovely, it actually looks like a great place to live.
Gunwharf is alright, but better when it is sunny and you can watch the boats.
Southsea is pleasant too.
I lived there for three years and never went to no Albert Road Street party despite living just off it every year. I guess my invite got lost in the post.
The best thing about Portsmouth is the football club.
