I thought they were the same thing.
And I'm 30.
How could I have been mis-informed for so long?
woodlouse = some sort of primitive crustacean kinda thing
i stand by my pedantry
It was a bit silly really.
that's why i call them slaters
(Y) we get them in our house ALL the time, i find them rather cute :)
insects aren't they? i think it's their tiny legs and lack of gross fangs. they're sort of like ugly ladybirds.
and the fact they move really slowly and just tend to wander around aimlessly. aw.
seeing which environment they prefer? ie light/dark damp/dry? did that too many times at high school.
Pretty different really.
Have you never seen both of them or something?
THEN YOU MUST BE WELL THICK
but no, I've never seen an ear wig, despite my g/f claiming she found one in my bed when I was convieniently out of the room.
are both the pictures of slaters in this thread, forbidden?
and earwig is sort of like an ant with pincers, totally different.
also, slaters have gills.
gills? so they can breath through mushy logs?
environments, like someone said up there ^ they're a crustacean kinda thing, so they have gills.
i didn't know that.
has paid off in a small way, DiSers think I'm like, smart and stuff, score.
I hated school :(
Are you sure that you’re not getting an earwig and a pill millipede mixed up? Pill millipedes look very similar to Woodlice.
