Show me an anime moment that beats that!
put me to sleep, but I liked the premise quite a bit!
I've never been a huge fan of anime or manga, so I thought seeing the live-action one would save me the hassle. I did love Akira though! And the Studio Gibli stuff is really nice.
death note movie this Sunday and though it worked quite well actually.
(My son is a massive fan)
it's enough to make sure I'll never see it (along with the reviews) the anime/manga is so magnificent that it could never live up though.
Mrs Knees got it for my sons birthday you see......still he was very polite and diplomatic about it, I didnt pick up on much dissappointment
It's like I often don't watch film/tv adaptations of books I like - I don't want them to change my views of the characters at all etc. A personal thing, I'm sure most people would enjoy the LAs.
It seemed really awesome and over-dramatic!
I LOVE that bit. In fact I love Death Note an unhealthy amount. This thread gets my seal of approval.
I've been watching/reading it again lately - I'm always struck by just how brilliant it is.
I love that bit in one of the first couple of episodes where they do the epic scene/music again with a montage of Light manically killing people. I'll see if I can find it...
I love the closing too. I always used to skip it and go on to the next. I don't know why -- it's so beautiful.
I have Death Note Vol.13 How To Read - and attatched to the front sleeve is an enevelope type thing, with L's "True Name Card" inside. Now, obviously I know his name, so it takes out the suspense, but I still want to see what it looks like... I'm torn between opening it or not - it looks all nice there, and I don't like tearing apart books even if they're supposed to be.
Oooh, I just had the genius idea of googling it to see, result=
That's all pretty actually. I need to think of something exciting to do with it.... I won't open it until then.
on my keyboard.
I watched six episodes of the Death Note anime.
You're right, it is better than the live-action movies!
It's annoying me though because I know what happens next in every episode.
though it seems like pretty depressing and harsh from these clips. I'll check it out!
like a dragon in the shape of a guitar riff soundwave rises out of the ground and devours everyone, while the singer frowns on.
Very cool though! Nothing has beaten the emotion I felt when Gohan turned SSJ2 yet though!
but I'm sure it was excellent!
:( I love getting boxes of unknown goodies/cheap crap.
