A documentary on More4 just stated that AIDS came from a hunter in the Congo forest. He killed a primate to eat, but it carred a disease.

Apparently, he happened to have a big cut and during the eating of the monkey, its blood went in its cut giving him SIV, which evolved into HIV.

Do you buy that? The whole open wound thing? A lot of people believe it came from bestiality with chimps.
