Inspired by a chat i had with warny on the *cough* Phil Collins thread.
We've all read books that have been made into films. Sometimes they do a great job, but sometimes they make a pigs ass of it. What in your opinion are the best adaptations you've witnessed. I must stress this is only if you have both read and watched both.
1. Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas - HST
2. High Fidelity - Nick Hornby
3. The Shining - Steven King
4. Cat's Eye - Steven King
