It's been so long since I've taken one seriously, I genuinely don't know anymore. (It's a 2nd year uni algebra exam.)
That makes all the difference? Tomorrow morning - just go to bed. Three days - most of your time. Three months - half an hour every few days then two hours a day for the last week.
Yes, that makes all the difference.
so it's basically a decision between starting tomorrow and chilling out/ maxing/relaxing all cool until sometime next week. Or a compromise. I might compromise.
The fact that you're doing a thread about it makes it sound like you haven't got a few days, though. When is it?
I'M TAKING THIS ONE SERIOUSLY. I'VE ALREADY IMPLIED THAT.
and you haven't even started revising? I suppose maths is more 'work it out there and then' though, not like you have to memorize tons
why uni exam? Did you not get a summer holiday?
The marking is capped at 40%, so it's not like it's worth my time doing that much revision anyway; I was genuinely just wondering what people thought was an appropriate amount of time to spend revising.
I did 4 one year and got over 80% in two of them, what a waste of revision effort.
I revise like a motherfucker. Around exam time (say 2 weeks before) I literally revise all day. Like wake up revise sleep repeat. What's infinitely more important than how long you revise is how you revise imo
That's enough time. I would* start doing some revision tomorrow, and then build up to it, so you don't get the last minute panic of realising you've missed stuff. Good luck!
*This is totally not what I would do
i dunno, i never revise.
Well Id chill out for a few days, in anticipation of revising. Just getting yourself ready for the horrible integers and arbitrary letters youll face. Perhaps do a few questions, find out what you dont know. Also compile a sort of schedule i.e. a day plan of sorts.
I have friends who are maths students that swear by doing papers for the last two days/ questions.
If it was me, Id chill till a week bofre the exam, and then do a few hours of day (with the intent of doing far more) - but I dont do maths
Hammer it from tomorrow till Friday.
3/4 hours a day.
Then go over and over the stuff.
posting on the internet, then just revise instead.
to 1 million years.
and people who don't fail at life.
is perfectly reasonable, dont let anyone tell you any different.
