I share my surname with a Lancashire town, so I just have to go 'yes, as in the town' every single time.
it's actually Blackburn. So I also get 'wot, like Blackburn Rovers? OMG LOL' which got tiresome about 22 years ago.

most cunts still can't pronounce my surname properly. it's only got five letters, two of which are vowels.
and my first name,due to 2 diferent ways of spelling it
so many different variations, as it's spelt different from how it sounds.
but even then people don't really understand.
if I'm booking a taxi or takeaway, I say my name is Smith. Everybody understands that.
People always think it's spelt with a c or a k when it's actually a Q
I can forgive anyone not knowing the correct spelling if they've not been told, but when friends get it wrong it can be a little irritating.
Always have to spell my surname. And no, its not Westwood.

I have to spell my first name too a lot, cos it has a silent y in it. Who the hell has a silent y in their name. Jeez
