and the other wing is miles away, what number do you call? Cheers
thanks for the help though
well next to the garden. Close enough that I'm supposed to do something about it
Bring it in the house and care for it, it might be a fun hobby/blessing.
You just have to leave it
but I can't find jack shit so I'll just hope a cat nails it
you should call someone as they're protected.. what sort of bird is it?
The RSPB website actually says call the RSPCA. Gay aids.
really loudly, in a east scottish accent. Help will soon be on the way.
Maybe wringing its neck would be the mannest thing to do.
You need to kill it. Its the only humane way. Take it by the neck and swiftly jar it to one side, the neck should break and drastically shorten the blood supply to the brain. Itll die.
I managed to force myself to physically kill two rats a couple of months back because they would've died anyway.
It was awful :-(
and rather than let nature take it's course you thought here's my big chance to kill something! Hey they're gonna dye anyway why should nature have all the fun!
You disgust me.
Just let nature take its course.
ring the RSPCA.
They don't do pain.
Look at all those pigeons with no legs. They're all bonkers.
go and get the other wing and waggle it in front of the bird, openly mocking it. The bird will be startled and confused because it's being approached by a human but being unable to fly away. At this point it's important to kick its legs so it falls over. It may be unable to get up, in which case laugh at it and just leave it there. If it does get up, get a hefty stick and just smash the shit out of it until its making really feeble noises (ie right on the brink of death). Then just wander off knowing you did all you could.
the minds of the male population. And female, and most people except for me. Did no one watch pet rescue when they were a kid? RESCUE.
just leave it, I don't see why you should get involved. Also no idea why hannah was forced to kill two rats, just leave nature to it's course. The way animals are unless it is distressed it probably is not that aware it's missing a wing.
when it tries to fly?
I still want to know how he knows that the other wing is miles away. He sounds culpable...
I had put the traps down, but they hadn't died, and had been sitting there suffering for like 24 hours. That was why :(
How can you feel sympathy for them? They're absolutely rank.
squeaked and put his hand over his face!
poison is the way, traps are never going to end well
Get over it. If a bird is lame enough to misplace its own wing, then it clearly needs a learning.
ants? wasps? rats? mental dogs? Jade Goody?
shut the curtains. After this you shouldn't be able to see it any more. Therefore, it's suffering is no longer an inconvenience to your day. then carry on watching The Weakest Link in comfort, good old ignorant comfort.
when I was here trying to find a number to ring something must've happened because it isn't there any more. Pretty sure it couldn't move well so I think one of the kids running around must've got their parents to take it somewhere. Either that or it was nailed by a cat. This reminds me of that time a couple of months ago I was looking after this little baby chic because it couldn't fly. I was stroking it and feeding it and everything, it was classic. So I was sitting with it in the garden and this cat just came OUT OF NOWHERE and NAILED it. It used to be my favorite cat. I never spoke to that cat again. Prick.
does it still suffer and thrive in pain?
it would *writhe* in pain
