i bought this today, and have just read the first 25 or so pages and the introduction. its brilliant!
writes about using economic tools and analysis to observe the "real" world.
The crack chapter is good.
basically everyone I know has read and recommended it but I haven't got round to it for some reason
I've just got onto 'How is the Klu Klux Klan like a group of Real-estate Agents' £3 from fopp. Complete bargain!
she doesnt even like reading and she LOVED it.
it makes you think, and is just another way of looking at things, and is quite funny a lot of the time too
if she had to read it for a class or if a friend told her about it, but she read and enjoyed it.
its still sitting in her room, and everyone seems to agree that its quite good, so maybe ill read it...
and some spare time, ill start. expect a note from me about whether or not ive enjoyed it... :)
It was on the set texts list for an economics module...suffice to say, only text I actually understood
Brilliant book. I liked the bit about teachers changing the test scores
but on a similar line of looking at a real world situation with an economic analysist's eyes try Moneyball, which is a top book.
