AH HA HA HA HAHA HA HO HO HA HAHAHA!!!
will you all shut up until the next transfer window now please?
I remember this time last year they were predicting a top 4 finish. Within 2 months they were in the relegation zone, and Jol was gone.
gutierrez = new ginola
I predict a top 4 finish ;)
Seriously though, Gutierrez - what a debut. Ran rings round their back 4.
to Ginola but looked fantastic yesterday
He's nowhere near Ginola with regards technique, but his workrate yesterday was superb and i guess is what the barcodes need. The permed CB looked a little dodgy though...early doors i guess...
im just enjoying the moment. spurs fans get right up my crack, and i enjoy how deluded they get with themsleves.
in perpetual fear that the hype will be correct. Every season I buy into it and every season I feel a massive sense of relief when it isn't the case.
i was at the game and although they were poor, i reckon if they play with a defensive midfield player then that will solve a lot of their problems they had on saturday. Modric looked good to be honest and Bent was sharp but he had very little service. Bentley was very average which was a bit of a surprise.
so was disappointed, but was fairly confident we'd not win. I like Gareth Southgate so I won't begrudge him it. I just wonder how every season we seem to start with half of our defence near death.
and we'll be pushing, along with a couple of other teams, Arsenal.
But if your asking us not to get excited about a new season with some exciting new players, and then to admit we're going down after failing to capitalise on the majority of possession against a Middlesborough side who are generally very solid at home, then sorry, but no.
You will not be pushing Arsenal this season. Have Spurs fans learnt nothing from last year?
What happens when you finish 7th? Do we all have to put up with this again next summer as "it was Ramos's first season, he knows this league now, so we'll definitely push on"
It's a joy supporting a football team with such ridiculously optimistic fans who convince themselves and many others that we'll be top4 come the end of the season. I like the passion, the undiminished hope and the will to forego defence in the pursuit of an all-attacking outfield team that will win the title. The fact that we get disappointed each and every year only serves to reinforce the self-held notion that we're the greatest fans in the world. EVER.
I still think the national media makes Spurs more intolerable for other football fans owing to their insane insistence that we are signing/selling every player imaginable every single transfer window.
surely if we learned there'd be none of us left?
then a bit worse the next year, then a bit better, then a bit worse.
fuck i hate football sometimes.
i should have the right to laugh too.
But we don't, do we? There's much worse waiting for us around the corner/the next game.
