i wanna watch a horror film what should it be or should i rent all the boys love mandy lane would it be awesome
That's good if you like psychological horrors?
i watched rosemary's baby the other day how does it compare
Rosemary's Baby has more suspense elements in it... Repulsion is more psychadelic, I think.
Both equally brilliant films.
is it gonna be like the tenant where you cant really tell whats going on the whole time or do you mean its a bit more weird and dreamy
but not in the same was as Blowout or something like that... but yes, dreamy, in an aggressive way.
Oh I'm stuck for words... I just found out I missed out on (another) job by THIS much (holds index and thumb about 2mm apart).
Fuck those fucking corrupt pricks in the US who started this knock on credit crunch. ARRRRRRRRRRGH.
but it churned me up more, if you know what I mean. Plus Catherine Deneuve is pretty hot.
what are some good hitchcock films thewarn i realised ive only ever seen rear window and psycho and am curious to see more i read that the stuff from the 50s is best
Vertigo, North by Northwest and the 39 steps. Especially Vertigo.
I was just naming my favourite Hitchcock films!
The Devil's Backbone
i saw it at a film festival...
it's not massively atmospheric or anything, but it's really good fun :)
My flatmate has The Audition on DVD, has anyone here seen it and is it any good?
you should watch it.
it's got one pretty fucking scary bit in it and lots of really horrible bits :D
you should read the books by the guy who wrote audition (if you like it) theyre real good
House of 1,000 Corpses
House of Wax (NOT THE ORIGINAL)
I had to stop watching that coz it was making me angry.
thewarn did you like the remake of the hills have eyes i thought that was pretty great
I usually avoid remakes coz they make me angry. I'm easily angered.
its by the dude who did that switchblade romance film so its pretty well handled its one of the better remakes of these things ive seen
i still hafta see psycho with vince vaughn though huh
The remake of dawn of the dead was good too. I just get upset by the lack of ideas in Hollywood, but I shouldn't let it bother me really.
You don't need to see the remake of psycho.
i mean wtf
dead mother as if she's still alive?
that talked about how wall.e was a bit like norman bates in psycho, awesome huh
and general nasty gore...
Not one for the kids then.
i replied to the wrong dukebox post!
these are good suggestions, is house of 1000 corpses good i hear conflicting reports
struggling to think of anything recent that is great other than the Mist
will watch pretty much anything, have been watching 'classics' lately but y'know quite happy to watch whatever
you've probably seen both. Or I quite like the Intruder which is an early cheapy supermarket-based slasher film.
Or for some grimmer slasher fare you could try Maniac.
The Burning and Sleepaway Camp are two fun summer camp slaher films from Friday 13th bandwagon.
A tale of two sisters for a creepy Asian psychological horror.
was almost impossible to follow for me. I didn't like it much.
It's certainly dead slow and a bit meandering but it's so atmospheric and looks lovely.
I've remembered a silly recommendation. Stay Alive. It's a horror film about kids getting killed inside a graphically bad PS2 game. Not scary or actually good but strangely entertaining.
it looks quite fun from its imdb
these all sound pretty good thanks, ive not seen reanimator i guess i should, i was looking at tale of two sisters the otehr day wondering about it
or Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
Has anyone seen [rec]? Worth watching?
it's on surfthechannel, shall watch later
