Whats with all the hate?
being a massive pile of camel arse.
That's quite a call
Apart from that mitchell and webb look.
or Monty Python's Flying Circus?
or even fucking Smack The Pony?
Why am I arguing with a fifteen year old about comedy? When I was fifteen I thought Trigger Happy TV and Da Ali G Show was the height of out there.
does that make me a very confused individual? Everyone else I speak to seems to find it hysterical.
The Ministry of Silly Walks and Spanish Inquisition sketches still crack me up
I quite like the walking thing.
I just don't get why the dead parrot is SO funny?
This is my favourite
you may yet convert me.
There are 0 good existing sketch shows.
It stinks. Because it's like curling out a giant steaming turd on top of comedy.
by its obscene popularity and the wealth it's brought its creators. Had it been a one-series 'under-the-radar'-type show, i wouldn't have hated it so much. The success is so undeserved that i can only muster vitriol when thinking about/discussing it, or David Walliams.
ALSO, it really sin't that funny. Some of the jokes may have been amusing the first time round, but 3(?) series' worth of the same jokes? Gashwank.
but the damn thing gets to repetative repetative repetative...
In no order
Snuff Box (haven't seen it yet tho hehe)
Monty Python's Flying Circus
Smack The Pony
The Fast Show
Goodness Graciouse Me
Not the Nine O' Clock News, the one with Gerald.
that was a nice one you forgot Jammmmmmmmmm though...
"Here's one for ya! A musical version of the film 'Scum!'"
is depressingly bad, the humour is far too mild mannered and family viewing a sort of thing. The jokes are obviously tailored by some fairly intelligent comedians to appeal to thoughtless viewers who overlook it's tediousness. Bit like that Catherine Tate thing.
I can't make my mind up about Peep Show either, though it has some golden moments it gets a bit samey, but is obviously nothing like as bad as the aforementioned.
The Office has yet to be paralleled though, Gervais is legendary!
It's made worse by how intensely dislikeable Gervais is. David Brent is just Ricky Gervais, there's no difference between the two of them.
But I'm sticking to my guns on it.
I have watched pretty much all of 2 series of The Office and it just didn't grab me.
