Matts food review!: Branston Pickle Mini Chedders
As I walked down to my local convenient store for a sandwich and yazoo I noticed a green package underneath my forever beloved Mini Cheddars... on further inspection I noted that another familiar and beloved logo in the for on Branston slapped all over it like the shameless flashy tart it is.
I thought to myself... great 2 British institutions together at last, this is going to be fantastic! Think Marmite flavoured Walkers if you will, a triumph of modern British confectionery.
As I walked home and opened this 50gram variant of the mini Cheddar packaged variants I noted that the smell wasn't overly pickely, nor did it smell of cheese... disappointment but I proceeded to pick up a single mini Cheddar and proceeded to place it on my tongue and chew.
So the taste? Well it neither tasted of pickle or cheese... or even like a mini cheddar at all, just a tangy baked biscuit... I was distraught as disappointment flushed threw my body, so I quickly grabbed and hand full... hoping this would be a snack that tasted more like what it should be in larger doses... to no avail & whilst not bad these just aren't nearly as good as the original! Forget this cheap marketing gimmick and fork out money for the real mini cheddar experience at it's best... original.
