anyone use one? Anyone know of any good ones? Just ones dedicated to reading ebooks
I've got pdfs up to here! *pointing to neck obvs*
keep rollin rollin rollin rollin
but some books were never real to begin with. That's not a metaphorical statement
is the one that's always recommended but apparently it's quite restrictive on what you can use and isn't on sale in the UK yet. Is there any particular reason you want one now? Both the devices and content are pretty expensive still.
I have lots of medical ebooks and such that would be awesome to sift through rather than massive textbooks
find it hard to focus
but wouldn't you be better off getting one of those little cheap netbook laptops and using it to make notes in lectures as well as looking at the textbook? Plus when you get bored you can download an emulator and play SNES.
I have one but I don't like reading from it and I prefer good old paper for notes because I annotate ppt. files mostly
Well there aren't that may ebook readers out in the UK at the minute. The Amazon and the Sony seem to be the ones favoured and neither are out in this country. The only decent one I know of is Iliad ebook reader which is a smidgen under £400. http://arstechnica.com/reviews/hardware/iLiad-review.ars
cheers for the info
"me" and it would've been rather lulsome
my girlfriend's dad got a sony one from work (cos he's in publishing and reads lots of proposals/drafts) and its pretty great. contrast is as good as a book, and its smaller and lighter than most paperbacks.
pretty swell, all in all.
