Billy Connoly as a 'paedophile priest'?Well I never...
errors in it.
ACTUALLY a paedophile priest.
i've ever seen..
but I get the feeling it'll just be 'okay'.
its one of the worst films I have seen for a long time.
At least I'll have the new Metallica album to look forward to. That'll be good right? Right?!
its not great but its not the worst thing ever
its way below the average movie affair... for me at least.
never loved it, but the story on this one was obsured... no sense of thriller or even mild horror in this one.. no suspense... just nothing that made me at least like the X-Files and I feel the is a lot missing for what made people LOVE the XFiles
than a lot of the episodes were, main problem was that it was a kinda re-attempt at one of the lesser episodes, or even a less good version of some quite good episodes idk
i mean it wasnt great and there were things wrong with it and coulda been way better but it was okay
Its disappointing. I had hoped the writers would return to form after the poor final few series of the show but unfortunately they just continue.
And Billy Connoly! I like his TV programmes, and he's a funny guy, but he's no actor.
I quite liked the return to roots standalone mysteries that some of his episodes had
it's good. it's not perfect, and the story is really incidental and very low key. it's really more about the SHEER JOY of seeing mulder and scully back in action, and seeing how they've changed in the six years since the show ended and they went on the run. also i thought the whole thing was shot beautifully.
the main problem is that - for a theatrical release - it doesn't really work, the scale is totally wrong.
apparently chris carter's sketching out another, to be sent in 2012 for when COLONISATION is meant to take place. so that'll have explosions and stuff ;)
awesome, do you think this one will do well enough that they get to make another
it hasn't done huge business in the US but i think that's because it came out a week after The Dark Knight and i'm not sure it'll matter as i think it was fairly low budget to start with. i imagine it'll do pretty well on DVD as well.
hopefully it'll act as a kinda "soft" return for a third film.
it seems to have been getting pretty bad press in the US, i'm bit surprised in retrospect by what people are saying about it, i was expecting incoherent and terrible but it was neither, although there were a few odd things in the script i guess
i seemed to be the only person in the cinema who liked the george bush thing though :(
do you think itd be cool to look in scully's browser history
