Tin openers - almost obselete?
i remember when ring pulls first came about big time; you only got them on pet food because it was seen to be unhygienic to use your tin opener on it. then when they appeared on tins of beans i was like ewwwwwwwww
Mine snapped off and I was like "awww, man". Then I realised I could just use a tin opener. And as I was, it struck me how rarely I use them these days
It's been quite a journey getting that soup open, let me tell you
Not on tesco chopped tomatoes, which is pretty much the only tinned food I eat.

It was always good when you'ld snap it off and put it back in the drink, then in a kind of teenage Russian Roulette*, you ran the risk of the ring pull coming out the can and swallowing it. Good times
*I had to look this up: I was going to type 'Russian Poker', but it seemed wrong.

They don't bother putting ring-pulls on poor people food like 20p cans of tinned tomatoes and lidl chickpeas

And I don't ever intend to
