I went to a local restaurant last week with the missus, and when we got given the bill it had a voucher for 2 for 1 at the local cinema. Amazing! Checked the terms and conditions - seemed reasonable enough: mon-thurs only; no photocopying; no re-sale; (then the crucial one) this promotion does not apply to selected films. No mention of what these films are.
So we pop along to the Odeon to find that this basically means "anything you might want to watch is excluded from the offer" so we have to pay the full whack fior The Dark Knight.
The very next day, my mate emails me in the morning asking if I want to join him at Nandos for lunch, as his gf has sent him a buy one meal get one free voucher. I jump at the chance.
"Are you still doing this offer" we ask the robot at the door. "No sir we are not, your table is this way", "hang on, how come we cant get BOGOF today?", "As you can see sir that is a fake promotion, here is your table".
Twice in 2 days!
Is there such a thing as a genuine offer these days? Im losing confidence.
