-he's a midfielder
-he currently still plays
-he's a former international
go! go! go!
Its one of about a thousand people!
I still think you could have come up with better clues in a 'Guess the footballer' thread than 'he plays football'
is that a good question, really? there are so many countries.
Possibly more salient
at a Premiership club?
(you still ,lose a question if you're right, right?)
South American? (I think I might know it)
It's a white midfielder (probably central) from a foreign country/foreign league who's probably retired from international football. Or is in his 30s at least.
i said that at the top.
meant he'd retired from internationals. otherwise you could just have put international.
Could mean he played in the premier league (changed in 2006, I think) and has since moved on.
then again, might not.
i'll allow that as one guess, because i'm nice.
i don't except silly "stab in the dark" answers, or answers that go against what we've already established.
Or by don't except, do you mean you don't discount them?
better way of putting the question right there by bill-bones.
all I can think is an English side signed him but he never played for them.
but you get my drift.
I'm discussing the possibilities with my team. Well within the rules.
Yes, he does.
Does that count as a question?
i don't know about the others
in the last 10 years. that's anything at all.
played in Scotland as well right? (to bill-bones-not a question)
technically includes all the qualifying groups and playoffs.
about what was meant
You don't want to waste a question due to a technicality and the pedantry of the question-setter.
I can't think of anyone who fits.
and we're in a rut. Have a stab.
I haven't seen much of him this year.
would make no sense, unless that was a red herring
I swear. It's yes or no. That was the fucking deal.
it was a sensible answer, i decided to accpet it.
just to clarify
- defensive midfielder
- still playing
- former Argentinian international
- strictly speaking, he didn’t play in the premiership (pre-1994, assuming that Premiership refers to England, as Scotland is the Premier League, and Spain is the Premier Division)
- Not Veron
- Not Simone
- Not Riquelme
- Not a slaphead
- plays in the Torneo Clausura
- but not for Boca, River Plate, Estudentes, Lanus
Can someone with better access to stat sites than me see if Redondo would fit?
for not getting his hair cut?
At least, in Sensible World of Soccer at Real Madrid anyway.
still have 4
i've realised that no-one is going to fit the criteria without it being the actual answer, you'll be stuck on 3 forever and i'll never win.
you were taking the piss, sorry.
I have absolutely no idea.
no but i really wish i'd thought of that.
can't think of anyone who would fit.
Would explain the 'strictly speakings' with sunderland and all :|
what a legend you are.
Well played, good game, good game!
-he has an international cap.
-he made a 3.5m reasonably high profile move to Sunderland.
-and it still confused everyone to death.
