UK Pronunciation of Aaron
Is there a standard one? I always grew up calling my friend Aaron 'air-on' and later discovered the Americans pronounce it 'are-on'. The Aussies do too and the other day I found a few Brits who say 'are-on' also.
Is 'air-on' just totally wrong or something, or just out of date? 'Are-on' sounds silly to me, like saying 'Van Go' or 'Noter Dame'...
