So much :')
I actually welled up a couple of times
with The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. Going to try and watch it again at work this evening.
but I read the book.
How does it compare?
Very well: it's superbly acted, tremendously compelling (and equally heart-breaking). It treats the subject as delicately (yet just as light-heartedly) as the author himself did. Superb stuff; my film of 2008 thus far
There are a few scenes added for dramatic effect, but it's beautifully written and often very funny, especially the Proust-esque sense memory food scenes. It's usually only about £3 in HMV, definitely worth reading.
i've not seen it, but robots? Animals, I can cry at. Anthropomorphic monstors, I can cry at, but robots?
Gimme the halcyon era of the lion king, tarzan and 101 dalmations on video any day.
than crying at a cartoon animal
I didn't cry, but I did find myself really getting into Wall-E's character. It's a brilliantly made film
Tears would be avoided if people listened to Turbonegro in the first place
but then a load of fat people started 'walking' so, disaster averted
I don't get the fuss about the first half.
is possibly the best thing pixar have ever done, kinda downhill from there though.
has been massively underrated in my opinion. The fire extinguisher bit, the bit where Eve has a "flashback" of when she shut down, and the bit where "Mo" cleans Wall-E were just as brilliant as anything in the first half. The end credits were kinda neat too.
I just kept thinking "surely it would have run out by now?!"
But stuff like that annoys me!
This was like 800 years in the future. I'm sure fire extinguisher technology had moved on somewhat.
I'll watch it again with that in mind
he has the same neck.
that the only women who have ever said that to me have always looked so sad about it?
Also, it was brilliant. Go see it.
so much <3
It didn't have the same effect as first time round (i didn't expect it to), but i still LOVE it so much.
the bit when they're dancing in space :']
Oh, and the bit when wall-e latches onto the space ship and touches the rings of saturn (i guess). omg!
So good. I cried a bit.
