There are no national interests involved. Its not like "ENGLAND HAVE WON THE GOLF WORLD CUP!!" its like "Richard Johnson has won the zzz".
The sort of people who find this entertaining are the sort of people who write to the BBC to complain about the poor standards of attire on the BBC newsreaders and reporters.
