Tempted to get involved for The Open, saves a walk up to the bookies.
So is it any good, any bits of advice?

does a payout go straight into your account or is it held to be transfered, do they charge for this?

read the forums for whatever youre betting on. People will most likely help you out with wise bets.

can lay your bet at any price, if he's trading at 30 then you can lay him at 30. You can lay him at 28 if you think his odds are going to shorten, but that will depend on everyone taking up the 30 that is on offer.
However, backing something at 40 and laying it at 30 isn't going to make you a great deal of cash, unless you're after small profits and a free bet on Rose
i'm more interested in simply getting better odds in a single outright win bet.
Rose was a bad example above, it's just one of the prices i've been following

i just can't be bothered to go to the bookies really. Some interesting stuff on the forums, like the person trying to live off an original stake of 100 euros and make 50E a day, so 18k/yr.
