Festival Fever - BBC 2 - 7.00PM
'Festival Fever The Money Programme's Max Flint and guest presenter Myleene Klass investigate why music and arts festivals have become such big business, with over 500 different events estimated to be taking place in an industry worth over a billion pounds this year alone. Where once punters were limited to camping out in a leaky tent, companies now offer luxury weekend breaks complete with hot showers, and major corporations have spotted the commercial possibilities of targeting an affluent and captive audience. While Myleene follows the Sunrise Festival, which was called off hours before opening due to flooding, Max Flint catches up with Sex Pistol John Lydon ahead of the band's headlining appearance at the legendary Isle of Wight festival.'
Yep, this should be on the Music music (or even the Festival board), but there are some monstrous beasts who frequent this board that never even look at those. Frankly, if it doesn't involve LOLcats, sexually liberated laydeez putting fruit in unconventional places or 'If DiSers were biscuits, which one would they be?' threads they're just not interested.
I'd be a Caramel Digestive by the way, alright in theory, but disappointing in practice.
