(only have brain based games, want at least a 2D platform, plus others)
New SMB surely?
Phantom Hourglass is brilliant, despite one or two obscure puzzles. Seriously worth getting.
I picked up Advance Wars: Dark Conflict for a mere £9.95 recently, bargain. I was worried that the emo theme would annoy me, but the games balance is incredible.
I'd like Mario Kart, but can't bring myself to pay full-price for an old game. Am also looking forward to Professor Layton, although that may lean back towards brain-based games.
Where did you get Advance wars for £9.95?
Crazy! But true.
it's very good. You should buy that, especially if you like brain games.
I'm wondering whether to get it through Play Asia. I've never used them before, but things seem to be cheaper, and actually available.
Any recommendations/horror stories would be greatly appreciated.
Lunar Knights, Final Fantasy III/XII, Pokemon and Bleach.
Those are the only ones I ever really play. Over and over and over. Still fun.
even if you don't watch the cartoon?
There isn't really much connection to the manga/anime. I haven't played a better similar type on the DS.
then the only option really is New. Super Mario Bros. - it's amazing, and up there with the best mario games on the snes.
I'd recommend Pokemon if you havent played one of the earlier games, and have other friends into it. Although I guess if you're from my generation or the generation you have done.
I couldn't really get into them, cos it was similar to the three pokemon games I'd played to death. I kinda wish I did, cos I'd love to have battled people online and stuff - that was my dream as a 10 year old.
Advance Wars is one of the best games ever made. It's so addictive and difficult. Get Dual Strike, and if you like that, get Dark Conflict.
If you've got friends with DSs, Mario Kart is an absolute must. So much fun sat in a room with about 6 people. I'd recommend it anyway for just 1 player, cos the missions are good - infact, it's probably the best mario kart single player ever.
Phantom Hourglass is a must.
which I hear are great platformers.
It's a franchise I must look into.
Now get me to Game!
