and is it worth it?
should i do it?
i dont pay though
what even is it??
to tell you if you have been added
i don;t pay.
you can listen to tracks online unlimited times ifyou pay.
and saee who visits you
I just tried to listen to my radio station, and it wouldn't let me. Seemingly I have to join...
you can;t listen to your own radio.
but you can listen to your own radio if you don;t login and then go to your profile and listen to it.
'Blue icon status
Trade your grey user icon in for a blue one.'
I was thinking about subscribing but I'm not sure if it'd be worth it.
anyone probably stalks my page anyways
people say "it's only a pound" (or wahtever it costs) but you're basically paying for nothing as far as I can see.
If you listen to a lot of stuff on the site then I think it can be worth it but if you mainly listen to your own music I don't see the point.
what purpose does this serve? Could be interesting as a one-off experiment I suppose.
i think his explanation is probably why most people do it...
ive had a conversation with him about it, but would like to read again
YOU GET TO TRADE YOUR GREY USER ICON IN FOR A BLUE ONE!!11
similar artists radio to discover new stuff.. my own radio.. it's useful if i'm not at my computer, or my external hard drive isn't plugged in for whatever reason. i can just listen to music online which is already tailored to my tastes...
I enjoyed this aspect.
and use the "loved" button - it gives you access to a radio station of the songs you've loved, therefore helping you remember and further explore bands you don't know.
every day if not more, but has yet to say anything to me. and also that my ex girlfriend type person regularly checks my profile. well worth a pound.
so dont bother.
it IS really good, the new design is much better and the charts update instantly or maybe daily from what i can tell. no more chart sundays!
but yes, just wait, especially as they keep sending more free nvites
i think i prefer how it used to look though for some bits. although i think its more that im used to looking at the different bits.
the loss of a weekly chart sucks though. you can access it but its not as good.
but no doubt that'll get fixed.
but other times ive refreshed it and the play count has gone up as im listening to a band
"let me know" thingy, so yes, I think I will just wait :)
It's nice, cause I don't keep music on my computer really, and whenever you play a track it adds it to your 'station'. So you can just play that when you want to go through yr library at random. Or when you're not on your computer or something.
Also, you get to see if anyone cool/hot is looking at yr musics.
am i cool and/or hot
It's jiggaboo time.
sounds like it's fulfilling it's role. I may join, but I think I will give it a week or two...see if I get invited first.
£1.50 for thousands upon thousads of songs that u can play unlimited amounts of times and add to ur last.fm libary
would be that on event listings they have an annoying bit where if you add text info on an event, it only shows the first bit until people click 'Read More'.
i hate this.
you cant have nice big posters, it shrinks them. boo!
i dont really see where these financial difficulties could be coming from?
I like playing ur own radio rather then other peoples/libary and the beta has really come into its own! PLUS I know who is e-stalking me! SCORE
it was a birthday present from some friends. i'll probably keep it going afterwards though as i like to see who's been looking at my profile.
especially as they were all multi-millionaires by then :D
it's VERY IMPORTANT
So pointless yeah?
you also get unlimited plays of the full streaming tracks, whilst normal users are limited to 3. i may have just made that up though.
of course you also get access to the beta site as well.
re: profile views - you'd be surprised, loads of randoms end up on my profile.
I get like 20 visits a day, mainly from people I dont know and Guntrip
i get a disproportionate amount of hot girls looking at mine.
and none of them ever add me.
it's good and it's cheap. I think it cost me about £15 for six months' subscription.
I like to see which hot girls are unlucky enough to stumble onto my profile, plus the personal/loved tracks radio stations are great. Though the personal radio does seem to go through phases of picking the same 50 or so songs.
but it's the sort of thing that's only going to get better as time goes on. i suppose it's kindof a speculative investment?
but in any case it's certainly worth the money, which is a piffling amount really. As others have said, supporting the site is definitely worthwhile. Haven't had chance to look at the beta site yet though.
The features are okay, there could be more though.
I just like supporting the website as it's my favourite on the whole of the interweb.
