grains of rice
before the rice made me hungry.
But I guessed 2 of them
In general, I'd say fairly standard. I tend to use the simplest word for everything, but I have a reasonable awareness of meanings....
that's pretty shitty really.
probably doing good, but bizarre nonetheless.
I should read urls properly...
Abject = miserable. So 'abject misery' is a tautology?
Sanguinary = bloodthirsty. I thought sanguine meant laid-back. Weird, the things you get into your head.
1. cheerfully optimistic, hopeful, or confident: a sanguine disposition; sanguine expectations.
2. reddish; ruddy: a sanguine complexion.
3. (in old physiology) having blood as the predominating humor and consequently being ruddy-faced, cheerful, etc.
4. bloody; sanguinary.
5. blood-red; red.
6. Heraldry. a reddish-purple tincture.
Guess I only knew the first one.
that theyre the same thing
but it explains why I thought it had connotations of being laid-back, and as it's the first definition it's clearly the most widely used. The important point here is that I haven't been totally misunderstanding its use all over the place.
thanks to Doctor Who for "adipose"
for 'tarantella' :D
i've never read/seen Harry Potter
although if you get one wrong they tell you the answer and then give you a chance to answer again later on, silly really.
as you can practise
I can't be fagged with words anymore. They're for twats.
to be honest at at least 50% of the words i got right i'd never use anyway, or maybe use once a year at the most.
'mature' Dissers have the most embiggened lexicons it would seem...
but being embiggened all the time.
I got bored
1220 grains of measly rice.

But it's still managed to make me feel inferior.
