I recently had a conversation with a friend who used to live in south africa, who was saying how annoyed they are at the praise that Mandela gets. The media/people in general seem to make him out to be a saint, and so i've always presumed he's a do gooder, though realise he was imprisoned.

Basically, is my friend very biased, or has he actually done very BAD things?
