inexplicable remote control conundrum
I have two televisions in my bedroom - one for TV and one for Playstation. It's like Dixons in here.
Yesterday, or the day before, my Sky remote flashed up that the batteries were low, so I changed the batteries. I put in completely new batteries, it didn't work. I put in a different set of completely new batteries. It didn't work. It still isn't working. I assumed the remote had packed up and have been using the controls on the box since at great inconvenience.
Today I decided to play a bit of Playstation, so I turned on my other TV, and lo and behold, that remote had stopped working too. I changed the batteries in this remote for another new set of completely new batteries, and it isn't working with them either.
What the freakin hell is going on? Is there any sort of rational scientific explanation for this like some kind of frequnecy failure or something?
I'm completely flummoxed. They can't have both simply broken at exactly the same time without anything being done to them!
