hmm, i believe it is possible to call a club night "Hello World", and i believe that you are capable of it.
Or if we like the name?
And not so much "like", rather don't think is really, really shit and would be a shit name for a club and no one would come because they'd think "Oh no, that sounds SHIT".
HIP HOP. MUSCLES. It hasn't started yet, I'm just making enquiries.
Neither have given me prices yet, but apparently Native is more expensive.
ive never bothered to go in there because ive never heard a good word about it.
Native is fun *nods
Native is waaaaai better. But you *can* pretend yr in an aeroplane when in Joe Publics. Which is ... fun! Ahem.
Evidently, no one here has. So this is a pretty useless survey.
assuming it's at Native. Less competition from other clubs on Mondays, but there must be a reason why *nobody* has their club night on Mondays and *everybody* has their club night on Wednesdays?
All the student nights are generally on Wednesdays, and it would only be monthly, but like you said, it would mean going up against Propaganda. I'll discuss it with Native and see what they think.
It was fun, but I reasonably twatted.
you have Allan Whicker on the door to welcome people in.
And it can all be one big web of promotion.
i think you've made that quite clear
That exists, doesn't it? BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD.
while you listen to their crazy electro. Stutter's closing down, anyway (pure conjecture).
They're completely separate now. Stutter is probably more indie than it used to be, but no one goes anymore :(
its always empty when ive been recentlyish.
no more thursday fun?
No one goes anymore though, and if they do, it's just for the bands, so by 12:30, everyone's buggered off. And they can't say it's because people have been doing exams or anything, because I went to Death From Above on one of the nights that Stutter was empty, and Death From Above was completely packed. I just don't see how they can keep going.
Is it good?
I am home for most of the summer, so I need places to go.
it's a bit rubbish and puts bands on too late :( Or at least it was last time I went.
I mean, obviously Ramshackle is great, but other than that.
Also, is Start The Bus good?
I'm so out of the Bristol loop.
oh Ramshackle. STB is too ... nice. I want Stutter back at Native or Thekla when it was actually decent. But I can't really think of anywhere else good at the moment. I think I'm going to slowly infiltrate Adam's mind so he can hijack Indie Soc nights on my behalf. Although I imagine that would only be fun for me. But that's all that counts, right?
i.e. it's every Thursday. I've only been a couple of times. The first time, it was quite mainstream indie; the second time seemed better but I wasn't really concentrating because I was sad. So I don't know. Bristol Indie Soc DJs upstairs at the same time though!!!!!!!!!1
I might go on Thursday. Probably not, cos it's easier to go to Bath. But ONE THURSDAY I will go.
i'm watching the twang on tv they sound a bit like U2 have they always sounded like this
I wrote a review about a year ago where I said they sound like U2. It's been deleted now.
being in razorlight
I WILL VISIT YOUR CLUBNIGHT!
Girls Aloud *just* got added to the opening night playlist. Are you not supposed to be DJing at Stutter? This is the rumour I heard.
two Bristol places to DJ.
Matthew asked me yeh, and I said "yes, if I'm ever allowed to go home and there isn't football on telly, and I can just do it off my iPod and be really shit", or something.
I was going to say to you "it'll be nice to have somewhere in Bris that plays good music", but maybe there is and I just don't know about it.
call it "HELLO ADAM".
but names don't really matter that much, whereas brand consistency does.
would be a great name. That Transplants song is infecting my head. THANKS, GARNIER.
it's cruel...and unforgiving.
That is the best pop song of the last 8 years. What a piano line. And the woo woos.
My favourite bit is when the guy SHOUTS lots. I love him. Also, Tim Armstrong actually says "heron, heron, it's all gone."
at 1 minute 45.
Also, Travis Barker's drumming = lol
but you may have a lot of computer geeks turning up expecting something else
can i tell you a story.
oy oy oy.
ignore me world.
if you dont like muscles, get out.
i've got a six pack and nothing to do.
Is there a meat option?
Wouldn't it be great if you mum had died?
The Spencer Krug Legality Issue
"Well, this is awkward..." or "It's a bit spicey!".
Where are yours from?
You just don't know Zapsta like I do, Phil.
I feel so neglected. Nearly 20k, and what do I have to show for it?
Too much drama, it's just not about the rhymes anymore.
I asked him to tell that story on his radio show and then my computer crashed. When I turned my computer back on I asked him if he was going to tell the story and he got quite angry so does this mean he told the story in the two minutes it took to restart my computer or what? This has confused me ever since.
I told the story and Jo took her headphones off because she was so sick of hearing it, even though she'd never actually *heard* it, but you were all ":D :D :D", then I interrupted Times New Viking to say "Thanks to Fiona!".
I asked you to tell the story and then my computer crashed.
I turned it back on and asked when you were going to tell it and you got annoyed.
And yes, then you thanked everyone in the history of ever and I was all "SAY THANKS TO ME :@" and then you paused Times New Viking to say thank you. I remember it well.
I INTERRUPTED A SONG FOR YOU!
