I am curious. Ta.
and my little toe, which was broken through kicking someone in the heart.
Playing tennis. YEP, that extreme sport.
and i didn't go for an x-ray for 3 weeks because i though it was just strained
I am truly hard as nails!!
it really fucking hurt
with the wood chippings. it was quite new
Not that much until the morning after, having spent the rest of the day after 'breaking' in it hobbling around just thinking I'd twisted it or something.
Not that much.
and by sure, i mean, it swelled up LOADS and i couldnt walk properly for at least 3 months.
i didnt go to the doctor tho cos i thought i was being a hyper-con-driact
my bones are adamantium
foot - i broke my guitar and kicked a bin, result - fractured toes and broken footbone
fingers - on acid, i fell over a vacuum cleaner and snapped my fingers back, couldnt go to hospital cos i was tripping, so i had to do a DIY splint job. it was painful
face - i was ripped up when i was younger and fell full force onto my orbit bone in my cheek and split it down the middle. paaaaiiiiinnnn
cockcyx - going down a slope on a skaeboard on my arse i hit a stone and stopped dead, sending me into the air and back down hard on my arse. Foolishly i tried it a second time and that was when i broke my bum! not so painful at the time, but i couldnt sit down properly for about 3 months!
I've never heard of anyone breaking their coccyx. I bruised it badly once but this meant an attractive nurse rubbed deep heat into it so it was almost worth it.
1. Pushed into a radiator
2. Pushed into a door
3. Punched by my friend
4. Headbutted by my other friend (I only have two friends)
It hurt quite alot and gave me a headache for ages, and there was alot of blood, and now I can't really breathe through my left nostril. I'm lucky enough to have not broken an arm of a leg.
and you think you're lucky. Umm?
It hurt, but not too much. I kind of laughed it off the second two times (the first two times were bullying). I'd really hate to break my arm, it does more for me than my nose does.
Having the x-ray done was embarrassing
so so bad. not being able to sit or lie sucks
but only using an inflatable plastic beach ring thing. The whole episode wasn't particulary dignified
i felt like my grandma
2.I slammed a car door on it.
How: Messing about whilst drunk
Hurt: Nope, thankfully I was far too drunk (and maybe shocked) to register the pain.
Trivia: I 'relocated' it myself.
You maverick, you!
I once dislocated my jaw on a malteser. I have a weak jaw.
I have now 'told' this story eighty-six times on DiS alone.
I had to add the trivia, it's pretty much the manliest thing I've ever done (except taking stuff to the tip and moving a fridge).
standing on a branch in the tree in our back garden, showing off to Neil Langridge.
Jumped to catch a rope swing whilst in the lake district, trying to emulate my older brother. Missed, landed elbow first on some rocks. Older brother then twisted my arm in an attempt to establish if it was broken. It is now!
It is now!
Arm once as a child. I got knocked out at same time and don't remember any pain.
Also, had stitches in my head on four or five occasions over the years.
and three fingers when I cycled into a lampost when pissed. That was the most painful.
out of nowhere. I didn't realise until morning when I had to go to work. My boss dropped me off at A&E though which was nice.
Oh, and I nearly (but not quite) broke my neck when drunk on a trampoline. Tried to do a sumerasault (sp) and landed on head on the ground. Weeks and weeks of whiplash and physiotherapy. That was really bad.
were you doing on a trampoline when drunk???
I suppose it seemed like a good idea at the time. But - DOH!
and the guy's kid brother was on it. We all piled on. Another guy broke his nose and someone else gashed their forehead open. There's a moral there somewhere.
it was fucking sore but not a patch on having my heart broken twice by different girls. Poor wee me....
Shoulder: fractured 3/4 of the way across after riding a horse without tack. Bareback riding is not wise
Big toe: Friend had a photoshoot thing for her birthday and someone stomped on it hard
Little toe: cracked it on door frames, cupboards when running out of rooms
the shoulder sounds hella painful.
only adrenaline at the time made me think I'd bust my ankle...until I realised I couldn't move it at all. They were going to pin it, and when they made me move it in A&E I nearly passed out on them haha
Frontside boardslide to DISASTER!
Not that much, I'd been drinking.
Handrails = Generally a bad idea
Handrails + alcohol = ALWAYS a bad idea
fell off a pony.
didn't hurt that much...
Torn meniscus cartilage, ruptured anterior cruciate ligament and disclocated knee. Arthroscopy is on Tuesday morning. Hello.
Tiger Woods won the US Open with all that.
I killed Sephiroth
i have no scars and, thus, no interesting stories :(
you want bones broken, i want to look big infront of my friends. can you see where this is going?
though I did once accidentally break someone's collar bone whilst playing football. And a few hearts, though this is mostly non football related.
I've done something horrible to my left knee, I think I've bodged the ligaments somehow, it's an old basketball injury.
it swelled up to the size of my thumb, it hurt quite a bit and meant I couldn't hold stuff properly.
The pain resides still, whenever her image appears in my mind's eye.
Well done John.
And it hurt.
I broke my heart once, it hurt quite a bit.
jumping out of a window on my 19th birthday, the day I got kicked out of Staffordshire Uni. Not a grim suicide attempt or anything, I just thought it would have been all cool and fun when we videoed it, it was back when Jackass was still new and shiny. Instead I broke my back a little. C'est la vie.
I really wish I hadn't started this thread :(
I'm not long-term damaged or anything, although my ribs don't line up right on one side. I just hope I can be a cautionary tale to the young 'uns. Stay in school!
when I was hit by a motorbike. I was 7 years old, riding my bike. Weirdly I remember floating down effortlessly slowly and softly being landing on the ground. The reality was undoubtably the exact opposite. Got a new bike when I got out of hospital, so it wasn't all doom and gloom.
Broke most the bones across my right foot when horseriding as a teenager. Another horse in front of me kicked out and hit the stirrup my foot was in, the metal stirrup smashing into my foot. That hurt, but what really hurt was having to ride the 5 miles back to where we'd started, then trying to pull my hugely swollen foot out of a tight-fitting riding boot, squidging all the broken bones together in the process. That REALLY hurt.
from a previous thread. :(
Toe x 2
Knuckle x 1
Nose x 1
Cheekbone x 1
...i'm a clumsy oaf, it would seem.
My sister broke 2 on my right hand by shutting them in the door at my Grandmas house. My Grandma broke 2 on my left hand by shutting them in a car door when we got back from the hospital getting the others seen to.
My heart/ ya i know lol
that's tempting fate ;)
falling off some monkey bars. I don't remember it hurting really, but I remember being all dizzy and in shock. I ran to my mum with my arm hideously twisted and told her I thought I had cramp (not sure why).
Having a cast made me really popular at school, so all in all it was a good thing.
but turns out it was just really horribly badly bruised.
Both times it was someone elses fault, the bastards. Both times it hurt very much.
I have no idea why I am elaborating this, but the first one involved a slide and other involved a rope and a game called Gladiators.
to my knowledge, probably my little toe or something but you cant do anything anyway.
One of my biggest fears is dislocating my knee.
Jumped off a swing and landed on my feet but flung myself onto my collarbone, so basically i jumped, then my landing was catching my feet on the floor. It snapped. Then I walked home (about a mile).
Cleared the top of the swing mind you.
during child birth
i can't remember if it hurt or not. But it explains a lot
