this is the ugly, charisma free whale that insists on sticking to them like glue all night long, scowling at any guy who walks up to chat to the pretty one, then as a last resort if anyone does pull the pretty friend she'll burst into tears/complain that she feels sick/tired, etc and demand to be taken home thereby ruining your chances.

It's only cos I received a text from a mate offering to be my 'wingman', not that I asked for one.
in today's Shortlist (quite good free magazine in London) they have a list of the 'top 10 stars who were better as wingmen'. At number 5 they have Michael Atherton! They say Graham Gooch was very successful as captain with Mike Atherton as vice captain and then when Athers became captain, there was 5 years of dire cricket, as if it's his fault!
Bollocks, is all I have to say about that.
