pretty much the worst thing ever
..most of you may as well not bother.
>10000 posts = Okay
Inbetween = ridicule but candle lit vigils. Then, in a month or two, "Where is XXXXXX?" and "Remember XXXXXX? It was better with them here."
Don't see the problem.
REMAIN APATHETIC TO THE LAST
or don't, whatever you know i don't care
I think what's cool and not cool on here is questionable
Well, sort of, although I can't remember what I said. I think it was to do with work banning DiS and then unbanning it, so it wasn't really the same. I'm tired.
for not announcing my departure. But then I came back, so...
I've bothered people on here for far longer than they should have had to put up with. It would be an affront not only to the boards but to myself to leave without acknowledging that.
yes it would.
Just 'irrelevant' and then *poof* I'm gone. It was poetry.
rather than announcing that you're 'leaving' but then spending the next hour tugging one off waiting for people to say that they love you and begging you not to leave.
you'd be an attention-seeking prick, wheras if you left without saying anything you'd be mannerless
"INTRODUCING THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT POSTER! THE FASTEST F5 IN THE WEST! MISTER! POPTIMUS! GRIIIIIIIIIIME!"
*'jump around' by house of pain plays*
BIG DAWG IN DA HOUSE!
how's it hangin'?
To use a recent example if DanielKelly hadn't said he was gonna be trying to get a proper job and use DiS less I might have wondered where he'd gone.
But melodramatic announcements of departures (or any announcement whatsoever of arrivals) do seem a bit over-the-top and unnecessary.
For my part when I leave DiS I'm just gonna stop posting. I can't imagine I'll make any kind of announcement or anything.
I'd quite like to extend this logic into jobs to - never tell anyone you've given your notice or say any goodbyes but just stop turning up.
