defrost lean steak beef mince in the microwave? If so, how long should i stick it in for?
just stick it in for as long as you think is needed.
do it, if you fry it it should kill any bacteria with ease. Beef is quite a safe meat to play around with
Do it in small segments, or keep an eye on it, because it defrosts mega-quick on the outside and not so quick on the inside. So defrost for a bit, then move the defrosted bits away, then continue etc etc.
Don't leave it, otherwise you end up cooking all the outside bits and inside is still ICE.
I know that pain only too well.
