Maybe I should've read the whole thing, but it annoyed me so I stopped.
Anyway, a question to anyone who has an opinion or insight into these things who'd care to state them to help my bafflement. This is a massive generalisation so please don't get offended, but it does seem to be pretty commonplace.
When a long term (or even short) relationship ends and it was apparent that the couple were in love, how is that men seem to be immediately thinking about the next woman? Rather than taking some time to grieve over the loss of that relationship or whatever needs to be done to sort your head out.
Someone I work with came in this morning an announced that his wife and partner of 18 or so years is divorcing him. It was sort of on the cards because she has some deep rooted issues that keep reappearing and hasn't been well for a long time, but he was suicidal this weekend after she told him.
And within 15 minutes of us discussing it today, he was talking about "the next woman".
