what do i do wrong
students who have no experience and no qualifications yet and won't be able to work full time slash will only be able to work full time for a couple of months then will have to fuck off to uni again.
I've never understood that as a reason for turning someone down for a job.
to explain it to me.
you're more likely to leave them for a better job and employers don't like that.
I don't know either really.
- employers aren't keen to pay recruitment and training costs three times in a year because bored, over-qualified employees keep leaving.
but stats tell them it costs more. There's also the problem of: do we recruit this smart young grad into this office minion job when the manager of the team is 40 years old and does not have a degree and doesn't deal well with cocky young things? Likely not, because grad may question 40 year old's management styles/decisions and cause problems for manager and with other team members.
that would lead Darlington to reject Cristiano Ronaldo if he were offered to him. What are you supposed to do if you have a degree but you have no motivation? Nobody wants you. I don't have a degree, so I don't need to worry, but I feel for those people. Because it could have been me.
Say you haven't been to University and instead have been unemployed for three years.
Employers go crazy for that shit.
to put that impression. I went to university for a year and was then unemployed for a year, so... will that do?
but if you aren't prepared to lie then it's going to have to do.
Chuck in a few spelling mistakes to compensate.
to make sure they hate me?
just lie, dont tell them about uni, work the two months training, then fuck off.
it would be better if it was in Leeds/Ilkley because then I don't gotta get another job!
Talking of which, can anyone get me a job in Leeds?
but I don't think he'd like you very much.
I think going off my previous recommendation, my heart doesn't lie in recruitment.
to ensure i have a pint with you, isn't it!
to be too sexy? I've never seen someone who is too sexy. Maybe I've not been looking hard enough. Or in the right places.
good at flirting, to the point that it gets in the way of anyone else's ability to do anything.
is up for discussion, really.
I've spent the last week trudging round depressing recruitment agencies talking to uninterested smug people. It's killing me.
I'm currently hanging around Manchester with nothing to do, unemployed, with no money. It's rubbish.
I will resort to applying for the shit stuff soon though
One and a half hours on the bus for £6.50 an hour. Brilliant
you have no experience and no qualifications what do you expect? :S
2 options. Volenteer to get some experience, get some qualifications and hope that when u come back in 2 years time its easier.
Either way is tricky, but who said life would be easy.
to get a shit job without qualifications. If shit job means supermarket, shop assisstant, office junior, dance teacher etc.
I can't get a shit job with qualifications.
re the 'overqualified' conversation earlier in this thread. Didn't mean you personally. : D
I was just about to stab you up ;)
what you did wrong was not working since you were 14. you're fucked. give up now.
work for a couple weeks, weed your way into the first company that looks remotely interesting, send a nice email to HR giving a reference from a team leader/supervisor at said company when an internal position is advertised, and just start working there.
and when the employer phones the agency up, which i think they have to do, be sure to tell the agency to lie on your behalf saying that you've worked on the agency for about 8-9 months. i believe the agency gets money for 'finding' you the job, so everyone wins.
