As I said in the other thread, these two both seem like credible, solid candiates who could fight a great set of positive debates on ideas if they were allowed to (which they won't be, obviously).
Having read the Audacity of Hope I found myself agreeing with pretty much all of what Barack had to say for himself so for the moment I'd prefer him to win. I haven't seen McCains book in the catalogue at work yet but I'll read it when we get it.
Whoever wins it certainly can't get much worse than some of the policies the have been implemented over the last eight years - not just Iraq etc but domestic policies which have seen the super rich become the mega rich while the poor and lower middle classes become poorer and public services continue to fall apart. As far as I can see anyway.
