Most upsetting film ever? i think it's also one of the best film's i've ever seen, so powerful.
but yes, its very depressing.
Obviously a touchy subject but great on the big screen
I saw it at the cinima when it came out and was a lil emotional after woulds I had to drive back slowly on the scenic route.
I can't rember much of it now it was so long ago though.
directed films i've ever seen. i have no desire to see it ever again.
and found it really shit, but apparently i'd been watching flight 93 instead.
despite owning it on dvd.
a great film, but really hard to watch.
It's a great film. Greengrass is a great director.
especially the final few minutes, I'd probably say they rate up there with some of the finest screen moments ive ever seen. just total brilliance
Well acted, tastefully done in light of what happened, excellent directing, tremendously moving....two enthusiastic thumbs up
but i saw this conspiracy thing claiming the plane was shot down by US military fighter jets and the passengers overcoming the terrorists was a load of stuff made up to cover up what really happened.
i dont usually buy into consiricy theories but it did make me think as when i was watching the 9/11 live on tv at the time, before the plane came down the news DID report that two fighter jets was in persuit of the plane that was headed for washington and me and my mate were sayin 'theyre gonna shoot it down!!!'
I wonder if the events clouded the actual artistic merits of the film somewhat. I thought the handheld camera was unnecessary for the early parts of the film but very apt towards the end. The final moments made my whole body tense up.
