In relation to this
Recommend me some agencies please. Anyone who says adecco can genuinely eat my shit.
i can't help though as i've only used Adecco. avoid Reed though.
All agencies are basically rubbish. They will find you jobs though, that's the main thing.
i never found adecco that useless. i went into reed's branch on holloway road and they told me that they didn't 'do' temp work at that branch and all the permanent stuff was on their website. i very nearly asked him what the point of the shop was.
got that one off my chest AGAIN
but i find the use of 'shop' quite funny.
In other news, I dunno Rich, I got a job from Falconwood in Bromley. I wouldn't recommend them unless you really like looking back and laughing. Not much fun at the time though.
It was shit temp work as it only covered the Holloway area.
that are specifically for graduates (if you are a graduate) and put you in pretty good jobs for minimum £10 / hour and treat you well, etc etc.
I've never had to use it and can't remember any of the names...but, presuming this is true, shouldn't these places be better known rather than people just blindly going to Reed, Adecco, Office Angels, etc?
I've never been to a job agency before, but I've listened to many a dark tale.
www.cmoves.com (or co.uk, can't remember)
guardian jobs, i've found loads!
If you are looking for something kinda city based, I recommend
Angela Mortimer (they're good)
If you are looking for something tempy nearer your neck of the woods I reccommend Blue Arrow in Finchley.
Lastly, get your CV on Monster. I have a f*cking brill job thanks to putting my CV on there.
Millions of folk will get in touch, even if 50% of the jobs aren't what you really want, just take heart from the other 50%.
Bonne chance et bonne courage mon ami.
now find me a new flat :)
I'd assumed it was terrible
were a massive waste of time, but I got a call from Hays Accountancy division that has given me a job I could have only dreamed of when I was cutting ties with everything where I used to live.
*Thank you Monster*
says that this woman is great
Adecco, Reed, Michael Page, Tate, Cooper-Lomaz, Recruit Direct, Angela Mortimer I've worked for them all.
I saw someone mention £10 p/h in London - DO NOT accept this - it is shit - you should not work for less than £12 and should be aiming for £14/15
Just hassle, hassle, hassle them
for Central London.
If you work out on the Zone 2/3/4 direction then you are looking at about £9 - £10/hour for admin stuff.
Because I need this and I'm sure others do.
London isnt a recognised region.
on the left. But yeah, that is retarded
is good as it only deals with the non-profit sector so the job is usually a bit more relaxed. You do really have to nag them sometimes and phone them daily.
