i was recently in the situation where it mwould have made financial sense to go onto the dole.
Basically my £6.50/hr job was bringing in about 180/week. rent was £50 and council tax £40.
If i went on the dole i could have worked for 16hours a week before disclosing, so could have got near enough £80/90 a week. I would also have had council tax paid for me. I would have got £48/week dole which would have paid my rent,
so in total i was only about 20 or 30 quid a week better off working my 9-5 hell job then i would have being a part time scrounger. (I did stay on with my job)

Thats the sort of reason why this country is fucked
