I am 21, I live near Newcastle and I am just finishing my degree. There are no jobs up here in my field, and it's highly likely that I'll be having to move down south. I have an interview for Friday for a job in Cambridge. Even though I probably won't get it, the problem is that all my family and friends are up here, and my girlfriend of two years who I am very happy with.

If I was offered a job down there with a good salary (£18-20K per year is good straight out of uni), I wouldn't know what to do. I could travel back up here at weekends, but it would knock me for six.

Has anyone else been in a similar situation?
