sauce. In chinese food, what the hell actually is it? Google ain't giving me answers
whatever meat/veg + O.K. sauce. I DON'T UNDERSTAND
not tried it as if it has oyster sauce in it it won't be veggie friendly, which is why I want to find out whats in it
you mean actual oyster sauce?
It's not made from oysters.
and you can be pretty sure that within the dish, there will be some kind of stock to reduce the oyster sauce down - usually chicken stock..
As you will see, it does have oyster extracts...don't know if fish is an issue?
That's really all that 'sauce' is in chinese dishes :)
a really good takeaway place NEVER uses MSG. It gives people headaches and causes thirst...
food is nothing.
goddamn. Well chinese food isn't exactly veggie-friendly. Good job I prefer Indian!
so you don't know whether it HAS oyster sauce in it or not?!
Do you mean just like a mixed veg dish? If you do, then yes, there will be stock in it, but no oyster sauce. They may have a vegetarian stock to cook it in, so you never know! Yellow bean sauce is a good option for vegetarians ;)
never tried it, so never found out. my friend says "its like oyster sauce. really fit. bit similar to plum sauce as well."
