I was 15.
I don't think people start drinking as young as were led to believe...
I didnt start proper till around 17!
Next week will see my have my first jammy dodger. Fun times.
reading festival 2000.
15 i think
i know lots of kids who started earlier though and lots who didnt start till 17 or so.
i think its really an indevidual thing
My parents gave me diluted wine when we went to france
but otherwise about 14-15.
Mum but some brandy in my orange juice to help me doze off on new years eve. Probably 12/13 with those little bottles of Biere d'Alsace at a family bbq.
Got little bits when I was tiny, though.
properly drunk for the first time at 14/15.
It remains my favourite drinking establishment to date <3
quite often from six upwards, but I didn't get drunk until I was 16/17.
the first time i got drunk i was thirteen. me and and my two friends used to drink a half bottle of smirnoff between us before we went to youth club. dark days.
4? My dad used to drink whisky and then be like "Hey Adam, try this shit!" so I did and it wasn't very nice.
I wasn't simple.
i had had a couple of sips before then, like had a taste of wine from my parents and stuff, but was 13 when i started actually drinking.
my older brother tricked me into drinking absolut vodka.
he told me it was lemon juice.
you were still prepared to drink lemon juice?
in the local on new year's eve
it was only 2 months before I turned 18 :(
But I didn't properly drink until I was nearly sixteen
when my parents were taking me on holiday in France they realised how much cheaper wine was than coke. My daughter is 3 and she has her own egg cup that she uses as a wine glass if we have wine with a meal.
I informed my mother of the alcohol laws, and she gave me a little bit of white wine in the bottom of a cup at Christmas.
didnt get drunk for the first time till after their gcse's, so when they were 16 or 17. These people it seems just drink all the time but to be fair to them, living in south-west Dorset their isnt much else to do. I first got drunk when i was 15 and had been drunk a few other times before this period, which is strange as i dont drink anywhere near enough as this group of friends do.
although obviously I'd tried alcohol before then, that was when I first had more than one drink.
Very diluted wine at special occasions
But then not again until I was 18. I was a good boy.
My parents just never made a big deal of alcohol. I was always allowed a glass of wine with dinner and stuff.
...but no taller than a thumb.
