i have to wear a shirt and tie and on days like this its fucking horrible
No tie. I'm probably the smartest person there too.
this i take to mean 'either smart or casual'.
i go for the casual option.
which is probably the best thing about the place. I'm wearing a Sky Larkin shirt today.
but you can wear a t-shirt if you like
and on sundays when basically nobody is in but me......
today i am wearing a ripped skirt, a stolen weezer tshirt and a black cardigan. and STUPID PUMP THINGS WHICH ARE GOING TO GET SOAKED WHEN I GO OUTSIDE.
so a shirt and tie if i feel like it, but only a pencil tie and a scruffily rolled up sleeve based shirt, or more often than not jeans and nice chequed shirt so I look a bit like a fat member of foals at work. Hooray! Or a Zelda t shirt. TOmorrow I'll wear that.
And bad sunglasses.
It's not too bad this looking smart mularky, girls seem to like it.
but my boss isn't in today so jeans and trainers, woo hoo!
That's about as exciting as my day has got today.
i work in a hospital so i have no choice but smart smart
market research with lax dress code.
But maybe not for long if I get a job with William Hill
im outbound so i dont have do make any calls or do anything if i dont want to.
theres only 3 other people in the whole office (out of 65)
they have super fast internet
they have no net blockers!
so i watch tv online, occasionally bring beer in and frequently have long, unharrassed spliff breaks in the sun
I can't imagine working on sundays though. I haven't drunk at work in ages. :-(
sundays are good but you still have to be here.
weekdays are hellacious. thzts why im on here so much, cos doing actual work is unbearable
but i have the slackest job ever!
my call centre sucks in comparison! There isn't even a start menu on our computers and breaks are 15 minutes long (OR ELSE)! Jealous.
with the head of a homeless man. Black shirt w/silver pinstripes and silver tie.
I can come in as grungy as hell and nobody bats an eyelid. Today I've gone for the proper old-fashioned Secretary look with the pencil skirt and stilettos. Tomorrow I might wear jeans. Or maybe I'll wear a dress cos I'm going out.
However, I go for the smart look pretty much always...it's a power thing. I find I am taken much more seriously in meetings, etc when I'm wearing smarter clothes. Also, it's essential when we are out seeing clients.
trousers, shirt and sensible shoes really. I used to wear a tie. Sometimes I wear a jumper! WACKY.
I try to look a little smart though.
The things I cannot wear to work include:
Anything with a swear word or sexual reference on it
and my shoulders must be covered!
but that's a personal thing as I don't want to look like a massive twat.
you should go in wearing all of the above.
with "FUCK" written on the back?
to somewhere where you can have one with 'wanker' on it.
called Kuntz not so long ago
Was there once called 'twat twat twat'?
my Rothmans year books.
Today: DJ Scotch Egg t-shirt, jeans, converse.
quit my job on Tuesday to sit around for a few weeks
uber-strict Academy policy. And I have to make sure my tie/shirt/shoes/whatever don't have any forbidden combinations of colours (blue/black etc) in them or my form rip the piss out of me. 'Did you get dressed in the dark again MrScagden?' etc.
But it's half term so I'm wearing an Unknown Pleasures shirt and jeans.
short, t-shirt and stubble :)
I usually keep a suit at work in-case we have a prospective major donor in (I work for a charity). But other than that it's up to me.
I used to have to wear suit for a job with muich less responsibility than this one. I felt like a berk the whole time.
black shirt, black apron, black bumbag.
Dull. And fucking boiling in the summer.
Literally. There are no rules.
suits sometimes, but usually cords, shirt, tie and brogues.
There are a fair number of unfortunate suits/tie/shirt combinations in my office and the girls can wear pretty much whatever they like. Today I was working with Michelle Pfeiffer era Catwoman and what appeared to be a female tribute to Chino Moreno.
believe me, you'd FAR FAR FAR prefer to meet catwoman!
that short sleeve shirts look fucking tatty in the office, especially when teemed with a polyester tie.
For the love of god, you're on 35 - 50K, you can afford to go to Austin Reed and sort yourself out.
polo shirts, plain black jumpers, plain t-shirts
essentially Next casual wear
trousers, t-shirt (mostly band ones), jumper / hoody.
it's nice. i've never had a SMART job and i'm quite glad of it.
charity call centers ftw!
well...about half is phoning up people who signed up on the street. The other half is using infomation from "lifestyle surveys" phoning up the all the people who said they would be interested in giving to charity at some point.
everyone there seems ok, and I dont have to meet any "targets" per shift or anything.
It's pretty easy tbh.
mine normally stems to;
dresses & cowboy boots
hungover; jeans/shorts, boybeaters & sneakers
shirt, trousers, smart shoes. I'm supposed to wear a clip on tie but I never bother. I also adorn my self with personal alarm, radio, key pouch and a billion keys.
although, i could wear anything i wanted, since i work in a social work office and don't have to deal with people at a reception or anything. i prefer to wear what i do so i don't "ruin" any of my "good" clothes :)
